after ko grumaduate ng bsn nung 2010, di ako pinalad na makapasa agad sa nle 2011. so nag hanap ako ng trabaho at napunta ako sa BPO industry. 10 solid years ako sa bpo at masasabi ko na okay ang job ko don. May 5digit na income, HMO sa akin at sa parents ko, at may Insurance pa. pwedeng pwede na. tapos nung 2024, nag nle ako. Pumasa. kaya sa wakas, after 10 year, nag pasya ako na mag retire sa BPO at magwork sa Healthcare. pucha, malaman laman ko na triple pala ang hirap dito tapos hindi pa patas ang sahod sa pagod at stress na matatanggap mo. Suddenly, I started to question the path I chose-- ang maging Nurse. Hindi naman nag kukulang ang saya pag nalalaman mong gumagaling mga pasyente mo. ang kaso, kulang talaga eh. Kaya pilitin nating makalabas ng Pinas. walang future dito hanggat may tatsulok at sila yung nasa tuktok.

legit to, nong highschool ako sakto naadmit yong bunso kong kapatid sa private hosp. one time nakasalubong ko yong mga employees na naglalakad sa lobby- taas noo akong nakatingin sakanila at nakangiti. that time ang tumatak sa utak ko e "mag aaral ako ng mabuti para makapagtrabaho sa hospital gaya nila." hanggang sa makapagcollege at makapasa ng boards mas pinursue kung magwork sa private setting as social worker. at isa lang masasabi ko, nagpapasalamat ako sa mga taong nakainspire sakin para mag igi sa buhay pero pag nasa realidad kana pala e hindi lahat ng exuses pwedeng ilatag. anyway proud of u mam!💯❤️

One of the reasons why a lot of healthcare professionals choose to switch careers. They would rather leave the profession they once dreamed of than lose themselves mentally, physically, and emotionally. If only we were appreciated and valued enough, maybe many of us would have stayed. :(

I’ve learn how this kind of work has reality slapped to my face and I see how it changes people—some become less empathetic, some become impatient and would be utterly tired and develop anxieties or lose themselves not just because of the workload but because of the people around; the management, especially the system. I see people hate the point that they once prayed for.
