Showing my age, I did basic at Fort Dix. My hair grew, since it was always in french braids and I tried to be slick and not pin it up one Sunday. My DIs saw, said, “Oh, look at you!”, and made me walk around all day holding my hair up. Once, I hurt my knee and someone asked, “What’s going on?” I didn’t look up and just said, “What the f*ck do you think is going on? Look at my f*cking knee!” Then I looked up, saw it was a CPT and immediately added, “Sir” to it. He forgave me and got me to the ER🤦🏾♀️

My son was at Fort Leonard Wood for basic training in three years ago. They were doing semi auto pew pew and his went off on its own. They saw that it wasn’t his fault, but they started calling him full auto after that.

The telephone pole reminded me when I was a teenager. They had a fountain by these apartments that somebody had put soap in the bubbles had gone all the way across the street and we were playing in the bubbles and I ran into a telephone pole. The shit fucking hurt.

When I was in basic our TI was coming downstairs, so we started grabbing the wall and yelling make a hole. A guy from our brother flight responded by telling us to shut up and wait. Our TI and 3 others was on him so fast he had no clue what was happening. The one comment that stood out to me, was our TI telling him, he would rip his head off, shit down his neck and mail him to his mother, if ever told anyone else to shut up. [Tears of joy]
