@carrotlaneofficial: I became the most-followed writer on Medium for Crypto and NFTs. I thought I was the bee’s knees. What started as writing about my interests turned into a significant income on the platform. Then, almost overnight, the volume of content went bananas. Everyone became a “good” writer, and suddenly there was no longer an arbitrage in simply being good at writing. I pivoted to Substack. But it took me a while. Maybe a year. And that delay cost me massively. There are close to 90,000 readers on Medium who barely see my writing anymore. Now I see the awareness I’m creating through TikTok Lives and videos, and I realise two things: I have a responsibility to give you the best information I possibly can. But I also have a responsibility to myself to maximise this moment while the opportunity is there. So, to the content creators who keep messaging me saying they’re scared to get on camera… This video is for you. Get over that little hump of fear. Do the video. Pay the cringe tax. Because the opportunity won’t always be there.
