@kidsenglishtheatre: Use it as an icebreaker or brain break. Instead of explaining the rules (you could be there all day! 😂) Just jump straight in and SHOW them. They copy you, repeat the words and do the actions along with you. A couple of minutes getting the vocab and actions going, then bring in “Do That”. If someone makes a mistake and copies you when you say “Do That”... go full over the top goofey shock horror 😂 “NOOOOO… DON’T DO IT!!” 😂 They get it in a flash! I normally sploof them with my foam hammer, but I left it at school... so the giant flower had to step in! 🌸 Do you use a variation of this in your class? Drop me a comment below and save this for your next lesson ❤️
My students actually still love Simon Says and it's great for listening comprehension.
The difference with this is they have to recall and say the word out loud too, and they have the cover of the group to try it out.
Great for boosting memory and not just repeating after me. I love adding sneezing, fake crying, tiptoeing, and whispering..... Let me know if you give it a try❤️
