@eylulnim: I think what @sunnyfromsunnybread brought to the conversation was really important, though I see worked it out on the remix with the brand hahahaha so here are my personal experiences from my time spent working in Korean skincare!!! #koreanskincare #dralthea #lifeinkorea #kbeauty #brutallyhonest

after my Dr.althea video, they reached out and talked about this matter in their HQ ✨ They promised that they (dr.althea) will not let this happen. I think influencers standing up for followers/consumers can bring positive change to this industry. I was touched to see Dr.althea acknowledged and was more than willing to change 💛💛💛 Thank you for talking about this ! I will be talking more about other brands as well

I’m so glad that controversy happened and ppl got to see what these companies are rlly doing. I’ve been using k skincare/beauty for 15+ years and I have too fallen for similar “viral” products that didn’t do much for my skin compared to lowkey products. I also seen older ladies promote products that they’ve been using to look youthful but it’ll be an item that just came out 😭 these ads are getting way too outta hand….

this is why i prefer creators who focus more on ingredients rather than specific products,,they usually also talk abt percentages and things like added fragrance to help you decide if a specific product or brand will be suitable for your skin

Korean skincare broke me out ,after I stopped using them my face cleared up ,and obviously because I live in Europe I spent way more money on them then you would in Korea ,and I started using them on my legs , and it broke me out on my legs 😭😭literally wasted 300€ Roche posay /garnier /estee Lauder and the ordinary never did me like that 😭😭😭

there are a few creators on here that I see use/recommend a new product every week or so, and I'm just thinking "How can they know which product is working for their skin when the variables are always changing and/or they're not giving their body enough time to get used to or react to the product to really see results?" Also, as you mentioned, many creators also get expensive cosmetic + medical procedures done to fix certain concerns that they have (i.e., acne scars, hyperpigmentation, wrinkles, enlarged pores, etc.), so then we don't really know whether the procedure they got is the reason for their improved skin condition or it's the result of the skincare products they're recommending/advertising... I mean, I'm sure some products will further improve or maintain the results of the procedure/s they've had done, but nine times out of ten getting some of kind of procedure (non-invasive or otherwise) is doing the heavy lifting.

As someone who has been into k-beauty for a long time it really didn't use to be like this, I feel like social media and the globalization of many of the brands has ruined the authenticity of the ads and products. I dont think its a scam but its definitely misleading and people need to start doing deeper review than 1-2 viral videos on tiktok

„Authenticity will get you further“ … will it really though? Most brands aren’t „found out“ like happened here …

People have to be discerning and not just run with what influence les are saying. People have to do their own research.. l also had to block that creator seems to be one drama after the next with her which I’m not interested in. ✨🙂‍↔️💕
