Devils advocate but I’d probably have asked once I landed and was settled in - what are the plans for this week then? When/where do you need me? Because ultimately, I’m only there FOR HER. I almost certainly wouldn’t be there otherwise. I’d either be at home counting the time until my own holiday and destination of choice. I would also want to make my best friend feel special for the week (she would do the same for me), and so yes, spend it together. It’s why we’re all there at the end of the day. Treating it like a personal holiday would come secondary to wedding plans. Not the other way around. She has overreacted though and a bit less diva and better communication could have avoided this.

Girl…. Go enjoy your new and spontaneous vacation, and BLOCK her. When you’re older all you’re going to care about is having a community around you that helps and lifts eachother up. Community takes effort and being inconvenienced. Find those people.
