My sister worked for a real estate builder in NYC. They built owned and managed their own buildings. It was their responsibility to correctly and safely build space and maintain it. One day a window washer hooked himself up to a screw, not a hook, an actual screw and propelled himself off the side of the building to get to work and plummeted. Her employer was sued for unsafe workspace but I’m not sure how that went bc that window washer should never have secured himself to a screw and not an eye hook embedded in the concrete but his widow was out for 🩸

my grandfather put the ears on the batman building in Nashville I said oh hell nah not to mention like 10 years after that he fell 4 floor down through a building and dislocated his shoulder if it wasn't for his partner grabbing the rope my grandaddy would have died
