SEU JOELHO DOBRADO É MAIS FORTE QUE SEU BRAÇO 💙
Grief doesn’t always look like grief in kids. ❤️🩹 Sometimes it looks like tears. But sometimes it looks like anger. Clinginess. Tummy aches. Trouble sleeping. A child who suddenly seems younger than they did a month ago. Or a teenager who seems like they don’t want to talk about it at all. And one of the most important things for us to remember is that grief changes as kids grow. A 4-year-old understands loss differently than a 9-year-old. A 13-year-old may grieve in ways that look completely different from either one. And sometimes kids revisit a loss years later because they’re finally old enough to understand it in a new way. In episode 408 of the Raising Boys & Girls podcast, we’re talking about what grief can look like at different ages—and how we can meet kids where they are rather than expecting them to grieve the way adults do. This is one of those episodes we hope you don’t need anytime soon. But we want it to be here for you when you do. ❤️ And maybe even more importantly, we hope it helps you recognize the child whose grief might be showing up in a way you didn’t expect. Listen wherever you get your podcasts, and share this with a friend who loves kids, too.
