Hey!! I have a little more information for you on that because I hate to see people misunderstand— TMJ stands for temporomandibular joint or the hinging joint most people refer to as your jaw. TMJ is not a condition, everyone has them however the clicking is not normal. I would highly recommend looking into exercises like someone else suggested, but be careful because over exercising/stressing the joint and/or muscle can cause lock up and make it worse. But even more beneficial than that would be to look into a reputable chiropractor in your area who has experience with TMJ’s!! They can do so much for you! I hope this doesn’t come off as rude!! I think it’s important for people to be informed and able to get help and not normalize something like this!! Best wishes

This happened to me and they found out the cartridge pad in my jaw slipped out. They popped it back by going in by my ear and I’m all good.

try a grounding pillow!!!! i already had surgery once and was told within 15 years i would need again. i started using the pillow, now my jaw stopped popping and can open better! highly HIGHLY recommend.

My jaw pops out and shuts every single night when I sleep. Every single morning I have to pop it back into place or put ice on it. So fun

Hey so I was told the same thing. Turns out I have a tongue, lip and 3 buccal ties. My best friend got hers released and tmj is not gone and jaw have moved back in place! Lots of videos on here with a successful recovery.

I have tmj too since i was 14 im now 38 and is insane this year is locked i cant pop it anymore and makes me so nervous thinking one day my jaw will stay wide open or completely locked

Sorry if this is a repeat. I wear a grind guard at night on my teeth and it helped the amount that popping that sound happens for me.

This one lady told me to swish a big air bubble around in your mouth, and It worked for me. Of course it’s only temporary, but hey I’ll take what I can get🤣

I have that too, it sucks!! by jaw sounds like a squeaky hinge when I open my mouth, and I can't open it very wide at all without it hurting
