my dad charges $900 when everyone around the area charges $1500+ in little village. my dad gets tenants by word of mouth. never had an issue with any tenant and they never had an issue with my dad. don’t be greedy and don’t be a shitty tenant 🤷♀️

Mannn my landlord has been a God send . I lost my job but I was paying what I could I didn't care if it was 300 or 1000 I was sending him something every time i got something until I went back to work he said I see you trying I wont charge you late fees just keep making payments

My boyfriend tried to offer a bad tenant almost $5000 to leave my the end of the month because attorney fees can be way more than that and this tenant still refused to leave and it took 8 months to evict her…. Needless to say, he sold that building and never touched real estate in Chicago again lbvs

Why does it take so long? I’m a landlord in New Orleans, it doesn’t take long. Under normal circumstances, You can have them out within a month.

Had two horrible non paying tenants back to back in Chicago. First one damaged my spot and had to sue for $5k. He left timely, just damaged my shit. Then filed bankruptcy after my judgment. 😳 The next one paid for a month (friend of the first person, my fault, sigh), then never paid again. Took me like 8 months from filing papers to sheriff coming to put him out. Got a judgment for like $12k, was garnishing his wages, then he got fired after a few months. Only collected like $600 from him. He then filed bankruptcy. 😳 Only saving grace was that I was able to write off the missed money on my taxes. Realistically only gave be about 20 percent of what I was due. 😳

Rent rooms to Healthcare travelers. Im in a furnished finder for $850 a month and he has 3 bedrooms on each side of a duplex and all the rooms are rented. We dont want trouble and we are employed.

Honestly, most people pay late, even the “good credit” ones. My tenant is always late. As long as she pays by month end with the late fee, we’re good.

That’s why I wish, if someone’s loses their job. They can just break the lease it’s a whole process. You still will be charged the full balance. I don’t understand the whole landlord lease thing. Ok neither end honestly.

That’s crazy . In Ga you got about 10 days and you will be out my the end of the month or earlier. And could be over bs. Trash fee. Nothing to do with rent.

Yep. I call the old landlords, their work, check out the social media, do everything I can to make sure the tenant is going to be good. People getting evicted intentionally is crazy. They may never get a lease again.
