I love Luke, but no Flora slander shall be tolerated! That man was just as toxic as she was. They both don't communicate, but let's not forget she had to put up with his foul mouth for six years; the only fault she had in all this was tolerating him. The movie started with her being extremely naive. They started the relationship when she was really young and naive. Luke saw her more as a pushover and her personality in this movie is that of someone who barely complains. And from the kind of family she came from, she was used to being spoken to softly, but she genuinely cared for him and that was one reason she had to put up with him. I get that Luke tried, he was also trying to be good for her, but she had told him that she liked him speaking calmly to her, she had expressed that she liked it when he praised her. I don't think she needed to go on and on about it. Then let's not forget that Luke gets jealous of almost everything, but Flora never made him feel bad during the times he was sorting things out with his childhood friend. I really love Luke’s character because I saw a man trying to change for someone he genuinely cares for, which is something a lot of people would never do, but that doesn't change the fact that his character was flawed! More than Flora’s own. Everyon keeps complaining that Flora doesn't communicate, does Luke communicate? You all are giving Luke some grace, how about Flora? She really does deserve a raise. Dating a man as powerful and influential as him can be a tasking. She didn't want to bring their relationship to light because she wanted more for herself career-wise, and she didn't want her success to be attributed to her relationship with her boss. It would break your heart to hear that you got your position because you were your boss's girlfriend, while you suffered day and night to stand out. A lot of people are watching the back of their television. I AM PISSED!

They both are at fault in the relationship. She should tell him what’s make her uncomfortable, tell him what she like and didn’t instead of only receiving what’s he’s willing to give. She gave him too many leeway to hurt her. He should’ve known his actions are the only thing for her to believe he loved her because he is surely not a word of affirmation type of guy. A petty reason scratch his ego, he said something hurtful and even as much as faking his actions only means to hurt her. Communication is the key and yelling is not a proper way to communicate.
