This happened twice via Booking.com reservation they wanted me to Zelle them the full entirety of the payment for the lodging. I told him no and canceled my reservation.

This is why I don’t really like those “hotel concierge” texts that are popular now, it makes you comfortable with the idea of the hotel texting you, so you’re more vulnerable to a scam like this.
