Tommy is one of the best characters ever made but I never understood why he had such a cold approach towards his children. He showed moments of compassion and light heartedness around people he cares about like Grace and gis brothers yet he always kept distance from his kids instead of considering them his relief in the middle of his problems. He also had a bad father himself that abandoned him but instead of making sure he will be different, he ended up losing both.
