We usually just brush Paraloid B-72 all over the fossil surface to make a protective coating, and it also makes the fossil look way cleaner and prettier! I had NO idea you could use B-72 to glue broken fossil pieces back together this whole time 😱 Right now our go-to trick is packing starch into the crack first, then dripping the adhesive in with a pipette. The starch swells up a little and locks everything in place with the glue's stickiness — works like a charm for stabilizing the broken fossil!
