@the_sarahe: ЁЯз▓ЁЯЪСЁЯЪиMRSO at a trauma I facility. Is the knowledge important to know? Does it make you any better of a technologist? I say YES! You will gain the knowledge on how to scan your patients more safely! You will feel more confident assessing implants for if they can be scanned (even off label) in your department. Trauma 1 facilities get a lot of TRAUMA (duh). So we will deal with things like bullets, BBs, shrapnel, car accidents, ICU patients, patients coming into the ER with devices like insulin pumps, glucose monitors, stimulators, pacemakers/ICDs. #mri #mrso #radiology #trauma #medical

Nicole Acevedo CNMT, (RT) (MR) :
I have a question for you. I am currently an MRI tech and I am considering becoming an MRSO. IтАЩm not sure if you have answered this before but how did you become an MRSO? Did you have to take a full course somewhere or was it just a quick prep course then take the boards? If you had to take a course, where did you go?
