@pcd2025: #fypviralシ #tribute #tomclough #clevelandpolice #fyp PC Tom Clough Hundreds of police and Army veterans gather for funeral of brave officer killed in horrific A66 crash. The war hero – one of two police officers killed in the A66 crash – devoted his entire working life to keeping others safe. Before he joined Cleveland police he served in Iraq and Afghanistan in a bomb disposal unit and then joined British Transport Police and the Civil Nuclear Police. And his heartbroken family have told of their pride that he devoted his life to public service to “make the world a better place”. It comes after the funeral for Matthew Blades, who also died in the horrific crash in August, took place yesterday. Colleagues revealed that PC Clough, 38, used to joke that no-one would turn up to his funeral. Around 1,000 police officers and soldiers together with hundreds of members of the public today have proved him wrong. Four mounted officers led his hearse at walking pace along a 400-yard guard of honour to his funeral. Standard bearers from every force in the country lowered their flags as the hearse passed by. Fellow officers who lined the route wiped tears from their eyes when they saw his coffin which was draped in a Union flag and adorned with his helmet and a wreath of red poppies.
