She could actually use her own blood for the surgery! My mom has had to do this before when she needed surgery because she’s O-negative. O-negative patients can only receive O-negative red blood cells, so sometimes, for a planned surgery, they can donate their own blood ahead of time to be used if needed.

I myself have that rare blood I cannot receive blood from no one or give anyone my blood. I have to donate my own blood every two years in case I ever need a blood transfusion they’ve told me it’s not to save my life if I ever need to use my own blood for transfusion it’s only to give myself some time too put my things in order .
