And yet... the first frame I put on the screen was two words everyone uses and nobody defines: operations and systems. Operations is everything your business does day to day to deliver. That covers sales, onboarding clients, writing the ad copy, and managing churn. Systems are the structures that make those operations run the same way every time. Every system is built from the same three parts: people, processes, and tools. AI lives inside the tools, which makes it one part of one part of the system. So when someone tells me AI is going to fix their operations, I ask what system it's plugging into. Most of the time the answer is nothing, and that's the actual problem.
