@.cookwithbrooke: Why I Went Looking for Local Beef 🥩 I’m not comfortable with what’s happening with beef in our grocery stores right now. Prices are up, cattle numbers are down, we’re seeing more imported beef, and honestly, it’s not always clear where the beef in that package is actually coming from. So I went straight to the source. Yesterday I visited K&P Farms right in Elijay, Georgia. I walked the farm, saw the animals, talked to the farmer, asked questions, and learned how people in our community can order beef directly from a local farm. I wanted to see for myself where my food was coming from and how the animals were being raised. If I can put locally raised beef on my family’s table AND support a local farmer at the same time, that’s where I want my money going. 🥩❤️ And if you’ve been questioning what you’re buying at the grocery store lately too, I wanted to show you that there are other options right here in our own community. #beef #farm #food #familydinner #cook
