I took it as Bobby glass being the one who bought the business from Mickey, the 20 years of building was his own gang/mob and he eventually got to a financial position to purchase Mickey out

it's not a "reboot" it's an entire different story. Did you even watch the movie?

I thought of it as a reboot more because the gym is the same more or less, the weed farm as well, seems more or less the same. how can two people control basically the same empires and co exist (unless Mickey and Bobby were partners at a stage and split the estates between them. - remember Mickey said he had 12 farms)

Always thought mickeys empire is the reason bobbys in prison, that’s why neither of them mention in each other in my mind, to Bobby it’s a sore topic and smth he’s quietly scheming about and to Mickey why would he mention him he’s a solved problem

yeah, I think in early versions it was planned to be the same universe, and i think thats how they pitched it to netflix hence the marketing, but they couldn't get the original cast on board so guy Ritchie just re did the concept with different characters

I feel like the show is the script that Fletcher wrote in the movie that he sold to Miramax.

I mean I know this is a tv show and all but do you guys really think there would only be one kingpin? I mean Idrc whether it’s a reboot or not (both are good) but I def wasn’t thinking Bobby glass would be the only one at the top of the food chain selling puff especially being locked up, even with his leniency’s 🤷♂️
