And honestly took me a few years once I had perimenopause, and then menopause to accept the fact that my body had changed and this was who I was now. There was nothing wrong with my body but it wasn't the flat stomach body that I had my entire life unless I was pregnant or had just had a baby. And then one day I looked at the curves I had and the body I had and I thought to myself... this is the only one you are ever going to have. You need to love it, appreciate everything about it, and go on with your life. Because everybody ages, and there is nothing we can do to stop it. That day actually changed a lot for me. The rest of the world needs to realize that we are women who age and cannot forever look like we did when we were 16 years old... nor do we want to.
