I had the worst FOMO the other day when one of my clients invited me to their baby shower for their rainbow baby. We’ve had so many sessions over the years about her finally becoming a mom and it was so hard to explain my ethical boundaries regarding contact outside of sessions. 😭 I so badly want to be present for her celebration! 💙

My ex therapist and I were like this. Similar age. Similar ideals. Similar interests. When we parted ways because she was moving states and couldn’t take my insurance anymore, she let me know that I was very special to her. And she has clients that she will always remember and that I absolutely am one of them. We sobbed my entire last session. I still randomly cry and it’s been 6 months. Harder than any break up I’ve ever been through

Yea I had a therapist who decided to say fuck ethics and gossip with me about the agency she worked for, tell me I was her favorite and she only came to work for me, and that we’d hang out when I was done with treatment. Safe to say that shit messed me up a bit

One time my therapist accidentally said “awwww you’re my favorite!” And I saw her soul leave her body. She never mentioned it again but we both thought about it for years I’m sure….and I’m probably still her fave

I remember when my therapist told me she was getting a new job and on her last session she told me she was pregnant and with a boy and I was her only client she told. I cried. miss you aubrey

I always talk to my therapist like she's a bestie, because she has heard more about me than my best friend of 14 years. But it never goes beyond session, she's just made me feel extremely comfortable and safe.

i’ve had my therapist since i was 16, im now 25. i love that woman, we now speak every few months to just check in & sometimes if i need it. she came to my wedding a few years ago. she will forever have a special place in my heart ✨🤍

I had my first ever therapy appointment today, and afterwards I was talking to my husband about it and he said, "Hey, I need you to understand something very important because I know your attachment style... this is a business relationship, she is not your bestie or your friend, it's transactional plz don't get attached." And tbh I already knew that, but I love him for thinking about how it could potentially hurt me in the future

I was just at a Labor Day party when someone asked how I knew my best friend. I was like “Ohh she’s my gynecologist.” And this lady was like “wait I just met someone asking me if it would be weird to friends with her gyno!” The answer is yes, but do it anyway!
