Yes that so called therapist should not of given you validation to cut your mom off … in fact she created a bigger divide between you and your mom … therapists are supposed to remain impartial

Therapist were the ones years ago who made everybody think they were sexually abused as children. Now those same type of therapist are trying to isolate people and cut them off from their families. It’s sad cause I had a great therapist that helped me, but there’s so many out there that are so miserable and misery loves company!
