My Grammy would always take me to Panera or to a restaurant and it always made me feel special and I very much miss that part of my life. I loved just going out with her and having some good food and talking about life 💞

im sure you already do this but I instead of telling him what he can and cant do or whatever.. parent with education. dont say no you can't go to that party. educate him on what to do if he ever find himself in a situation he needs help. not to simply trust anything someone gives him.. to communicate if he's feeling curious about drugs or alcohol because you can educate him on how to being a curious teenager safely. no. id never give me kids drugs or alcohol. but they dont ask or sneak off to get it because ive educated them so much that the interest and curiosity behind sneaking around isnt there.. they dont have to wonder what its like.. because they already have education on it. same goes for intimacy and boundries. just educate and do to tactically in scenarios. no need for the "talk" just make it normal in your household to have honest conversations. education=safety

My mom would always send little notes in our school lunches, she did this right through highschool and it was just something I will always remember and now do for my kids.

My mom would often have homemade cookies, cinnamon buns or other baking for us when we walked through the door after school. She’d chat with us and it was something that was always so comforting and made me admire my mom. Also my parents would often greet us in the morning with a song from a commercial on TV. Something funny or fun and sometimes they would even change the words to the tune to the song. Memories that I’ll never forget and they made me feel a lot of joy and peace in my home life. Hugs 💞

Growing up being diagnosed with bipolar disorder at 13, my mom would point out successful people who also struggle with bp. It meant a lot to me and probably changed the path I was on

The fact that you’re thinking of such is major & no doubt that you will make a beautiful life together. Unfortunately I came from total dysfunction so I don’t have any ideas. God bless y’all 🙏

hey Danika. love you. I think one of the most beautiful things my mom did for me was ALWAYS supporting whatever I was into. like she always got me enrolled in classes if I was interested in a particular hobby even though 50% of the time I outgrew those activities 😭😭😭

Choose a park to explore over and over again. Take hotdogs and use as bait to capture crawdads. Float down a creek. BbQ at the lake. So many more fun ideas. Turn off the light in the house and turn on music. Play hide and seak.
