Put him down and let him scream, surround him with toys. You are not indispensable and it will not hurt him. Get your stuff done and he will learn how to self sooth.

Give him a paper bag to play with they love the noise. Then give them a box to reach for. Throw in a plastic spoon from the kitchen and you have an entertained baby

You can't hold them 24 / 7. Whether he likes it or not you need to put him down and let him gain a little bit of independence or else you'll never get anything done.
