my mom is a makeup artist and has worked on & off for department store brands my entire life. there are women working those sales counters for DECADES, supporting their families. the ones complaining that they don't pay, just don't know how to hustle

You can definitely make bank, I started off as flex at Macys then promoted to full time in 6 months I got promoted as CM stayed for 4 years left and went to Saks Fifth Ave, worked for NARS there for 2 years then came back to Macys and worked as a Beauty Advisor for Lancome, then promoted to Trend CM then promoted to Fragrance Lead where I was taking home like 2k a week! Ended up leaving now I’m freelancing for Tom Ford when I want to and working full time as a makeup artist
