@audikers2023: Buying a house is exhausting. Trying to find something that hasn’t been monkeyed with, but also is not in bad shape is impossible. Home flippers are predatory. It’s crazy. #buyingahouse #homeowner #tampabay #realestate

people should be able to sue because of this. my first water bill was $800 due to a slab leak the sellers covered up

the first 2 houses we looked at weren't even flippers one was literally gonna be in a sinkhole within 10 years and you could see it in the "backyard" and the foundation and the other house definitely had foundation problems and I wasn't dealing with any of that

I was looking at buying a foreclosure (to live in) but the auction price went over what I was comfortable with. They paid $420k, slapped some paint on stuff (painted over the thermostat, bathroom fixtures, shower door) covered up the wood burning fireplace and listed it for $590k. Just had its 3rd price reduction to $525k.

After we sold my grandmas house it was flipped. So she had real wood cabinets like the doors and everything, they replaced them with cheap crappy stuff. They also put fake wood on all the floors so it echoed really bad.

100% I feel like this is so damaging to communities and there should be more oversight to these types of flippers

This is why you always pay a private person to do an entire inpection before signing anything

I bought a house built in 1960 that has not been renovated, but is in good shape I can tell the owners took care of it. Mortgage payment is 3100 which is insane I feel like but that’s the way it goes nowadays plus I’m in nj state with the highest property taxes plus high interest rate

I long to be a flipper that just repairs things that are actually broken, upgrade the “big” things and then charge accordingly 😂😂. Like don’t paint the cabinet white just put in all new toilets. Leave the old floors and put on a roof 😂

This all can be said to any home someone buys…. I bought a found direct from a couple who lived in a home for 60+ years. I had hidden pie tins in drywall to solve a leak, I found multiple massive electrical work, etc. I think your issue lies with home inspectors being uneducated not a flipper

imagine if there was some rule where once you buy the property you have to keep it for at least a year before being able to sell it. I bet that would alleviate some of this

Oh, there are TONS of flipped homes here in Michigan. They always look cute and modern until you realize it’s all held together with bubblegum and duct tape 😅

Flippers are in it for quick income. I would be fearful about buying a flip.

Yep.. it's exhausting. The ones that are available unflipped are snatched up too quickly by flippers.

flippers are predatory, but finding an actual turn key house is impossible...even new builds suck bc County inspectors don't give 2 $h!ts, and contractors are drunk or lazy....

I dont believe flippers should be allowed to sell a home for 50-100% what they paid for it. if you buy a home for 180k and you put 30k into it than you should only.be allowed to sell it for 225k. im tired of people buying houses and putting 10-30k into them and selling them for double what it is actually worth... if the houses around it were worth 230k in 2019, its really only worth a max of 245k now...

Nope I hate 98% of flippers for this reason. You can usually tell by their shitty work that they lip stick on a pig so if you can see that image what you can’t see is what I tell my clients. It’s awful. 😏
