Ooof this was us last year when BOTH my husband and I got laid off within 2 months. It was a rough year but we are more than back on track now and we got to spend a lot of time with the kids. Hardest part is keeping the budget and not letting money stress ruin your relationships! LMAO

Happened to me 2 yrs ago just before thanksgiving. Unemployment covered half the mortgage as wife handled everything else till I got a job. Sucked at the time, but thriving now

I did exactly those three things last year when I got laid off. Then I spent a couple weeks making a dozen spreadsheets with dozens of scenarios and decided to retire.
