Take something for the pain, or wait until the knee is bad enough to replace. Here's what I wish more people knew. 🦵 What arthritis actually is The cartilage cushioning your knee is wearing down. It won't grow back on its own. That part is true. The part people get wrong is assuming surgery has to be the next stop. 💉 The cortisone cycle A shot every few months when it flares. This is where a lot of people get parked. It calms things down for a while, and the cartilage stays exactly as it was. 🎯 The middle ground Most patients never hear about this one. Image-guided PRP takes your own concentrated platelets and places them into the damaged area, under imaging, so we know we're in the right spot. The goal is to help the tissue itself. I have knee patients whose pain has stayed resolved for over a year after treatment. Why this matters.
