@rewirewithrach: Real red flags matter. Trust should be earned. Healing the betrayal wound isn’t about blindly trusting people. It’s learning to distinguish between your nervous system trying to predict what could happen from what your partner’s behaviour is showing you is actually happening Because otherwise you can spend your entire relationship making your current partner prove they’re not the people who hurt you before them. (That’s not their job) By trying so hard to protect yourself from betrayal, you can slowly create a relationship where neither person actually feels safe. I was a fearful avoidant who earned security and if I can heal you can too! #attachmentstyle #relationshiptok #Love #rewirewithrach #fypシ

They also turn EVERYTHING into proof or evidence that their accusations are right & you’re lying. Like accusing you of cheating for the 47th time & since you haven’t cheated you now get angry every time they accuse you & then they say that your anger is proof you’re lying 🤦‍♀️It is literally maddening & exhausting!! 😤

How did you heal this wound? Was there a book you felt helpful?

I have a question; my love and I are both FA but I’d say I’m more secure and they’re more fearful. We have this plan of always being in each others lives; be it as lovers or as friends but I’m wondering if one day they truly decide to only be friends; how can I go about it? I feel like I’m going to need a minimum of 40 days to fully get over them but (at least I think) It’d have to be 40 days of 0 contact. 0 seeing or hearing anything about them. …. An extra fear is that :/ what if I can ONLY love them romantically? What if after I’ve fully moved on i view them as just another someone… not even someone I had history with; what if I start viewing them as someone I had a fleeting crush on… any advice?

do they realize that it was their trigger instead of their partner being ‘not trustworthy’ ?

@¹⁹⁹¹ ‘: A fearful-avoidant and I have been separated for three months. I went on X and accidentally followed him, then quickly unfollowed him. Two days later, he blocked me, but five minutes later he removed the block and deactivated his account.
