"what kind of store doesn't have a bathroom " um most stores in a MALL because they usually have a set of public bathrooms in each wing . the only mall stores I ever see with customer bathrooms in them are the bigger stores at the ends that stay open after the mall and also have their own entrances

if you have to go to the bathroom in the mall, why would you think they would have bathrooms in the store? They don't that's why they're in the mall and each side of the corner of the doors and they're not that hard to notice the sign above or the big damn map in front of the doors.

you're way too kind in the usa, when it was me working as a sephora beauty advisor, I would tell people "excuse me I'm with a client who's just as important as you are so I'll take all the time they need to find whatever makes their day better and I'll be there right after. if you do not wish to wait, I have great colleagues who can help you if they're not already helping another client who's also just as important as you are." I would get very cold with this type of client. they'd get uncomfortable and learn some manners.
