@pimlicodrivingschool: How/when to use fog 🌫️ lights? Control / Lights - Driving Tips 🌫️ Fog lights are for when visibility is seriously reduced—mainly by fog, but sometimes heavy rain or snow. 🚗 When to use them * Front fog lights: When visibility is greatly reduced, typically by fog, heavy snow, or heavy rain. * Rear fog light: Use only when visibility is seriously reduced (in the UK, generally when you can’t see for more than about 100 metres). * Turn them off as soon as visibility improves. Rear fog lights are particularly dazzling to drivers behind you. 🇬🇧 UK rule of thumb If you’re driving normally on a clear night, don’t use fog lights. Use your normal dipped headlights instead. Fog lights aren’t an upgrade to ordinary headlights—they’re specifically designed for poor visibility. Easy memory trick: 🌫️ Can barely see? Fog lights. 👀 Can see clearly? Turn them off. #pimlicodrivingschool #control #lights #fog #learntodrive
