My teachers explicitly told us to avoid using wikipedia because the information isn’t accurate, but they have told us using Ai is ok as long as it’s not cheating. So stupid.

if wikipedia gets shut down we're losing the ultimate encyclopedia of knowledge and you know for a FACT the politicians will jump on that. we need to find a way to save wikipedia or download the entire website, I'm sure someone has already done it

I think a lot of schools ban Wikipedia due to it being an unreliable source, at least in my school they did.

i never understood why ppl thought ai was better than Wikipedia, like yeah ai gives u easier, more direct answers and even I use it when i don't feel like going through 20 paragraphs for a 3 am thought but in the long run, Wikipedia is actually relatable with hundreds of sources and links, and also more informative than ai ever was

Wikipedia IS trustable, idk what they’re pumping out in schools because even though teachers say it, it IS a reliable source because even if you can “edit it” it has to go through verification and review. It is NOT open.
