I had a life changing argument with my dad that basically ended with him saying "I feel like you're not my friend anymore. you don't tell me anything. You're so closed off" and I replied "because we're not friends. You're my parent. you've always made that very clear" and all he could say is "wow"

I still have a curfew BUT I did observe that I dont even ask them to go anywhere anymore I just say im going, tell them where and with who and ask them if they need me to do anything before I go. alot of people have it easier, some harder but I like it this way. its like a mutual respect
