As a trucker, I be looking EVERYWHERE. As far as my eyes see is where I’m looking even in my personal cars

50 yards seems about right if you’re on cruise control. In traffic, it’s like 5-40yds but in very very fast moments to see what’s causing the braking up ahead and also making sure I don’t rear end somebody who braked too hard
