i sometimes hide my bot to decode while kiting/chaired if im the first chase, i sometimes use it for bodyblocking and sometimes i decode on my own until hunter hits my teammate then i leave my bot at that cipher and go to find another one to double decode. im not really good at mech and i will be happy if y'all give me some tips

insta spawning ur bot and hiding it can trigger tinnitus and have the hunter waste time trying to find it though, and if they don't find it then u can use it to decode while chaired

guys dont listen to this video!!! always prioritize hiding ur bot since it wont matter if your kite is short u can decode a whole cipher while ur teammates let u sit on chair and it gives u guaranteed draws + higher chance for a win

My advice: If you're not confident about your kite, drop your bot-hide it-and run as far as you can. This way the hunter might take a while to find your bot. When you lost your first bot, there are two options; 1: Drop-hide-and run again; 2: Keep it for bodyblock. I personally prefer option 2 because by the time the hunter found and hit my first bot, I'll already be across the map and sometimes my teammates (if they're smart enough, I'd just pray they are) will help hiding me by faking tinnitus/footprints. If the hunter can do wide range damage like Bonbon/Dentist/... I'll go with option 1, that way they'll either find me or my bot or chase someone else because I've already taken too much of their time. Mind you: The reason why mechanic is one of the strongest character in the game is because of her robot, 49% robot can still do a 70% decoding process, might be able to open the gate/fake tinnitus/extra healer if you use it smartly.

I don’t really get how you decode with bot? What I normally do is decode and if someone’s in chase I then drop my bot and find a new cipher to decode. What am I supposed to do with the bot after the bots cipher is finished?

If I know the hunter is going to chase me I drop it at the start and run if I don’t know I’ll save it till I’ve done about 50% and get it to finish it off whilst I start a knew one and continue the cycle
