@sfgate: San Francisco firefighters rappelled down a cliff in the Presidio Wednesday night to rescue a couple stranded by the rising tide. The pair had walked up the cliff from the beach at Battery Cranston to watch the sunset, SFFD Capt. Mariano Elias told SFGATE. By the time it got dark, the tide had come in and cut off the route they’d taken from the beach. “They were basically trapped,” Elias said. Read more at the link in bio.
