whenever i take on a new project, i always make sure to allow enough time for thorough planning and execution. but this time, i only had 48 hours… on the week leading up to @escapehalloween , my bro lasha @nitepunk hit me up (10/24), needing someone to make his merch for his big headline show with @browniesandlemonade in la on halloween night (10/31). his original team had dropped the ball, and even though i usually wouldn’t accept a last minute request like this, lasha’s a good homie, so i decided to take it on. with that decision came some intense pressure, knowing that i wasn’t going to be getting any sleep the following week. time was not on my side with everything that’s been going on lately, so i asked him for the artwork right away, but it wasn’t ready yet…i told him i’d need the files by sunday at the latest, or it wasn’t going to happen. the weekend came, and i went to escape both days. i was cooked 😵… sundays are usually my time to recover, but at midnight (technically monday 10/28), lasha sent the artwork files. i knew then that i’d have to place an overnight rush order on materials to make this work. tuesday was the soonest everything could arrive, and thankfully, all materials showed up on time (10/29). with less than 48 hours left, the heat was on. it was time to cook. in the end, we got it done. in the legendary words of kobe bryant: ‘job’s finished.’ s/o @rau.gelio for letting me use your shop for the all-nighters 🙌 @dannayetee for the fire video clips from the show 🔥 #mindseye #nitepunk #browniesandlemonade #rave #insomniac #getsomesleep
