In some cases like mine it’s not a personal choice my baby doesn’t want a paci. We planned on using one but he just won’t take it

He won’t take one🫠. He used to and then just stopped. I have tried 5 different ones.

I don’t really understand, I want to avoid the pacifier. Is this not possible?

I have an overactive letdown and my baby gets very frustrated when she is full but still wants to comfort nurse because milk keeps coming out and she doesn’t want more milk. But she also won’t take a pacifier. She is 8 weeks old.

Yea, I wish I’d waited to use the passy. I sometimes have problems with his latch because of nipple confusion

I have a question, if our milk is “established” around 12 weeks why do people see dips in their supply at like 7 months or later in their journey?

My baby is 3 weeks old and no matter what she gets nipple confusion I just started introducing a bottle and now she’s getting frustrated at breast . Same thing when I give her the passi she starts to prefer that easier latch than breast . How do I fix this

I know this has nothing to do with this video but my 4 month old is scheduled for lip and tongue tie release and I feel like I should cancel the appointment. He’s grown out of the symptoms (gassiness, clicking while feeding) that I thought were caused because of a tongue and lip tie. An ENT nurse practitioner recommended we still do the procedure to prevent speech and dental issues. Thoughts? Is the procedure that much worse if we end up having to do it later on?

This is why I’m choosing to EP. I’m too much of an overstimulated girlie to be a human pacifier. I cannot have a baby hooked to me all the time. Oof

I needed to hear this! I have an overactive letdown and I feel so bad baby just trying to fall asleep or comfort his hiccups away and he drowns everytime. I just wish he would actually take the paci :/

Silly question but does this mean if we’re EBF we shouldn’t be using a pacifier in the first 4 weeks?

My baby was born at 8 pounds 7 oz lost some weight and at her 1st appointment at 5 days old she was 8 pounds 8 oz then her second appointment at just under 2 weeks old she was 9 pounds 4 oz now at 3 weeks she is 10 pounds some ounces (we weighed her at home using a regular scale and counted the difference from my own weight) im trying not to overfeed her she is exclusively breastfeeding never had formula or a bottle. Idk what to do she is gaining too quickly and I dont wake her to feed ever, do tummy time 4 times a day for 1 minute, i only offer one breast every feeding. I pull off my breast when i see she has stopped actively sucking and swallowing. And she is still gaining like crazy

I have the ninni co pacifier and it just sits in his car seat for when I’m not able to pull over to latch him. He will NOT take it at home because he knowsss 😅🤣

This helped so much, I have an overactive let down and I definitely feel like my baby is full and feel bad to pull him off when he’s sucking but I can tell he’s super full so I will give him a pacifier instead!

How common or normal is it for babies to spit out the paci? My babies have both not ever been able to keep the pacifier in their mouth
