@tracixkracka: Pottery may look relaxing today, but at Old Sturbridge Village you can see how much work actually went into it in the 1830s. This potter explained how farmers dug and hauled their own clay, mixed wet and dry batches, cut firewood for the kiln, kneaded tons of clay, and used pottery as another source of income for the farm family. It completely changed the way I looked at the craft. If you’re visiting Old Sturbridge Village, take time to stop and talk with the interpreters—you learn so much more than you expect. @Oldsturbridgevillage #tiktokgostarcreator #learnontiktokcontest #learnhistoryontiktok #OldSturbridgeVillage #LivingHistory
