I appear to be super early to the follow up video so I’ll comment here instead of getting lost in the comment section of the last one! Fair warning I’m long winded! My wife (before she was my wife) spent the better part of 2 weeks MISERABLY sick. Could not keep anything down and spent all day every day throwing up. Not even water would stick around for more than 15-20 minutes before she was puking again. I took her to the hospital twice (waited longer than we should have both times because she didn’t have insurance at the time) because I was worried s was getting severely dehydrated. T first trip they just told us it was probably viral, gave her a IV to help with the dehydration and sent us on our way. The second time, the MD told us that she needed to stop smoking weed because that’s what was causing everything (CHS for those wondering what she was talking about) we tried to explain to her that while yes at the time we did smoke frequently, she had not smoked since becoming sick. The MD told us she had been around the block and there was nothing more for her to do and discharged us with nothing helpful beyond the IV bag that made sure she didn’t die of dehydration. We finally went to an urgent care after the second hospital visit and saw a DO. We sat and talked with him for almost an hour. He calmed my wife down working through breathing exercises and a few relaxing stretches all while explaining that she needed to calm her nervous system down first and foremost because the knife edge she’d been in for 2 weeks was just making the issue worse. He took the time to HELP her before he ever even diagnosed her. After all of that which is more help than anyone at the ER gave us, he did diagnose her with an H. Pylori infection. A bacterial infection effecting the lining of her stomach causing severe irritation, hence not being able to hold a single thing down. That DO took the time to help her as a person instead of looking for the easiest possible way to get a patient out of their care as quickly as possible.
