@amythelifecoach: I built the Repair Framework because I needed it for myself first. I wasn’t taught repair. Nobody modeled healthy conflict resolution or reparative conversations. And I kept finding myself in the same cycles in my relationships. I was quick to apologize, even if I wasn’t at fault. I was quick to take accountability. Even if I had to take it for someone else. And then ended up in the same place over and over again. What I was missing was a few more steps inbetween. I had to actually understand what got me there in the first place. And in the reverse - I had to see that someone else knew what got them there in the first place - which was often a step I skipped when someone was repairing with me. And is the biggest red flag I look for these days - do they know what caused their behavior? Are they excusing it? Did they do that self-reflection to improve or are they just trying to move on from it. Without that - the apology is just a reset button. It’s not actual repair. This is what I do now and what I look for in my relationships. And it’s made all the difference between repeating patterns of my own and actually breaking them. As well as having an easy way to discern if someone else is capable of growth. Let me know if this helped you! #healingtiktok #nervoussystemhealing #relationshiptiktok #conflictresolution #apology
