@mulagoreferral: 6th Kidney Transplant Camp | Closing The 6th Kidney Transplant Camp at Mulago National Referral Hospital concludes with 19 successful kidney transplants performed since the programme began in 2023. A major milestone was the final surgery of the camp, successfully performed independently by the Mulago transplant team—an important step in building local capacity. We thank Yashoda and the Kidney Care 4 All teams for their continued technical guidance and support in strengthening our transplant team. The Executive Director, Dr Rosemary Byanyima, called for strengthened Government support in human resources, dedicated transplant ICU capacity and laboratory immunology services to enable more independent surgeries and faster care.
