Just bc a cat has a little bowl or a fancy ass bowl doesn’t mean it’s neglected some people can’t afford all of that. As long as you provide fresh cold clean water and daily food, and give the cat (animal) its required needs I think it’s okay

achually ☝️cats are desert dwellers designed to get 70-80% of their hydration from prey. a well cared for house cat will seldomly drink water because they’re being fed a high moisture diet and a cat that excessively drinks water is extremely dehydrated and potentially has kidney disease

I’ve had every water fountain on the market, a few automatic feeders and automatic litter boxes nothing beats a fresh bowl of water every morning, fresh bowl of food from the food bag in an air tight container and a stainless steel litter box scooped daily it takes me 5 minutes every morning to clean change and take care of my cats everything else was unsanitary got dirty faster and much more of a hassle

i have a fountain for my cats but they will not drink out of it and instead drinks out of the water bowl cats will choose what they want and we gotta accept that

i know more neglect cat owners who would rather use a fountain because they think they can get out of daily maintenance for their cat. having more gadgets doesn't make you a better owner having just the basics doesn't make you neglectful either

Mu cat will only drink From the sink or my dogs bowl… when with fountains and her own bowls she won’t touch them… not all cats are the same and most cats dont like fountains.
