We owe it to them to hear their stories. God this was a harsh one, I cannot image how scared all of these individuals were.. it breaks my heart. Specially, the fire fighters fearlessly heading towards the danger.

It was my dads birthday and my mom came to get me and my brother early from school, we had no idea what was going on (I’m in Canada and we were in elementary school so teachers didn’t want everyone to panic) and I remember being so excited thinking we were going home early for dads birthday supper or something. When I found out what happened I cried so hard, my dad didn’t want to celebrate his birthday for a while after that.
