I’m a microbiologist and we’ve had 4 positive bats this week. But we only had 2 positive animals last month. Just vaccinate your animals and STOP touching wild animals! Please for the love of all that is holy.

um, I can answer this: it's that damn mobile petting zoo in NC that took those baby goats around to people and events and the goats were infected due to a skunk getting into their enclosure. this all happened between July and August.

Some of the antivax community members are no longer vaccinating their pets, farm animals, etc. There have been upticks in parvovirus as well.
