@quran_plug: Surah Al-Fajr (89:24) describes the ultimate moment of regret a human being experiences on the Day of Judgment when they realize they wasted their time on Earth. Surah Al-Fajr was revealed in Makkah during the early Meccan period (approximately 612–614 CE). Chronologically, it is considered the 10th chapter revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), coming shortly after Surah Al-Layl. This was a time when the early Muslims were few, relatively powerless, and beginning to face intense social ostracization and persecution from the ruling elite of Makkah (the Quraysh). Allah revealed Surah Al-Fajr as a severe warning to the Meccan elite and a source of comfort to the oppressed believers. Before reaching verse 24, Allah invokes powerful oaths and reminds the Makkans of mighty, wealthy past civilizations—like ʿĀd, Thamūd, and Pharaoh—who were completely destroyed because of their tyranny and greed. Allah then addresses the core human flaw: hoarding money and ignoring the needy. Immediately following that indictment, Verse 24 serves as a dramatic climax. It is revealed to show the Meccan chieftains—who thought their wealth made them invincible—exactly how they will react when the universe is dismantled and they stand spiritually bankrupt before God, screaming in useless regret: "Oh, I wish I had sent ahead for my life!" #islamicreminder #quran #muslimtiktok
