You can make them put you under if you want! They won’t like it but it’s your body and your birth!

Just had mine two days ago. Was super smooth and easy. Was so quick. The only rough part was day 2 of recovery, lots of pain when getting up and down

But planned C-sections are pretty smooth. You still feel tugging during the procedure no pain. You can’t walk for about 8-12 hours and you will be sore from your incision. But just get your meds on time so the pain doesn’t lapse. Wear a C-section binder they might give you one.

Wasn’t planned for me but my water was broken for too long and was at risk of infection but I was so scared and couldn’t show it because I was exhausted for being in labor for three days. I only felt them tugging and pulling him out. It was chill. But recovery sucked bad😭 I hated not being able to sit up and stand quick. Tip to you is hold in your sneeze or cough lmao. Also scar tape or a cream. My scar keloided sadly

Mine was planned, but everyone is different! She was two weeks ahead of her schedule, she was in the 95% while in the womb (her dad is 6’3” and I’m 5’ for reference)and had no more room. The epidural, the girl that did it, wasn’t really doing it correctly until another person stepped in and I immediately felt nothing. That took about 30 minutes. When the surgery was happening, I felt like a purse they were trying to tug open, a lot of pressure when they finally reached my baby girl, and then a release of that pressure! I woke up at 5:30, they took me to the OR at 7:00ish, they started surgery at 7:30, and 2 minutes before an hour later my baby girl was born! My bf saw everything of me “just out and open” and is a bit traumatized since he doesn’t like looking at stuff like that. The sewing up process was nerve wracking and I just kept telling myself it would be over soon and the pain was about a 7/7.5 for me. I had GD and they had to monitor her sugars but she needed up going to the NICU since she failed the three tries. I was very determined to be near her and I was walking by the end of the night! And I saw her everyday for the three days she was there! My lil Sushi is three months now and we both didn’t want children, and she surprised us a lot! I love her so much and she is my bestest friend! You’re going to do well and it’s ok to be nervous, I was nervous because I never had a major surgery before! You got this! :o)

I initially planned on vbac for my second baby. I got to 7 cm and told them, let’s just do the C-section. It was soooo much better than my emergency one. I was awake and alert and recovery was much better too. I’m having my 3rd in December. They asked about tolac, I want a c section but I’m still nervous 😭😭😭😭we got this! Congratulations 🎉

mines wasn’t planned. i had super bad anxiety once they told me that it was the only option but i knew it was safest for my baby. i had a whole panic attack. i was put to sleep by my request. i was under heavy anesthesia once i finally woke up after.. it’s the recovery process that has me so out of it. i’ll be 2 weeks postpartum tomorrow.

I Just had a planned one! I feel like it was a lot more smooth. I made sure doctors nurses and anesthesiologist knew exactly what I wanted. It was cool knowing exactly when I would have my baby I was way more prepared. I feel like I healed faster for some reason. I walked alot more this time

My first was an emergency one, my second one I had six days ago was planned and both were incredibly peaceful and stress free. I feel like I healed pretty quickly with both as well. Look into massages for your scar the sooner you do it the better. Yes it hurts but it helps! The more and sooner you move the better too. The pain is temporary. Best of luck. 🤍

The medicine before the procedure is worst then the spinal tap hurt if done correctly won’t feel a thing if needed ask for the fentanyl after baby is out while they close you up

mine wasn’t planned but my induction ended in one, the meds are strong but eventually I was up moving around. the hardest part was the stinging from the incision while sneezing and coughing, other than that you just have to take it easy the next couple of weeks.
