so ive noticed that if you keep water inside any water bottle for an undisclosed amount of time, it doesnt mold. but if its just damp, it molds. no idea how that works.

Bro my straw never stays and always falls out and it pisses me off genuinely so much I don’t want to have to keep fixing it and get germs in it, the whole purpose I got it was the sip factor

I call mine my emotional support water bottle. Only water in it ever and washed constantly just for peace of mind, even remove the seal to clean but never ever see anything wrong ever. Best 30 bucks ever spent

i feel like it depends on where you live and how humid it gets because ever since i moved to north carolina all of my water bottles get moldy real fast🤷♀️

Ok but I washed one of my Owalas, assumed it was dry, put it back together and in the cabinet. There must have been a droplet or two of water in the straw that dropped into the bottom of the cup. Mold. But an Owala full of liquid for days on end doesn’t mold.

You know I love my owala but somehow my button on the lid is sticking out too much it doesn’t close as easily as it used to. I have to push it in a little to close the lid.
