@preschoolvibes: Here’s an example of what one of my first letter lessons might look like. I spend about 2 to 4 minutes introducing the letter. We look at the capital and lowercase letter, talk about how each one is formed, practice the letter sound, air write it with our fingers, and think of words that begin with that sound. We also use our Environmental Print Alphabet poster to find the letter in familiar print, and I usually choose one of my favorite letter videos to get everyone up and moving. Then we always do a hands on multisensory letter activity. For the first letter of the year, I also take a few minutes to introduce our letter trays and explain how students will use them during free choice centers. Anytime I add a new tray or activity they have never seen before, I teach them how to use it first so they can eventually work with it independently.#Inverted
